Who Operates the Service

TypeScience, trading as Electrician Answering Pro, operates this website and AI receptionist service. This policy explains our handling of information about customers, website visitors and people who call a customer's electrical business. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@electricianansweringpro.com or ask for service help at support@electricianansweringpro.com.

Our service answers calls as the customer's business after that business forwards its number. Information about an account holder serves a different purpose from the details a caller gives about an electrical job. The sections below explain those uses and the records involved.

Customers, Visitors and Callers

Your business decides what caller information is collected and why, and we process that information on your behalf. Our data processing terms form part of the terms of service. This applies to caller numbers, audio, recordings, transcripts and summaries produced when the receptionist handles your business calls.

We also handle information about businesses that sign up and people who visit this website. For example, an email address used to sign in belongs to the account record, while a caller's description of a sparking outlet belongs to the call record. Callers can direct privacy requests to the business they called or to us.

Account and Billing Information

We collect account details including your name, business, email address and phone number. These details support your account and use of the receptionist. Email is also used for the sign-in link and service communications, including the trial reminder described in our terms.

Our payment processor handles billing information. We do not store full payment card numbers. Account information and call information have different roles: your billing details concern the subscription, while recordings and messages concern conversations handled for your business.

Business Instructions and Website Content

We collect your onboarding answers and the website content you point us to. This information teaches the receptionist your services, service area, hours, price policy, urgent call rules and who should receive urgent calls. It also tells the receptionist what work your business does not take on.

You can change settings by telling the AI in plain words. Your instructions shape how it responds as your business, including whether it books an appointment or collects details for a callback. Keep those instructions accurate so the receptionist uses the business information you intend it to use.

Call Information and Notifications

We collect call audio, recordings, transcripts, summaries and caller numbers as part of answering and documenting calls. The receptionist states at the start of each call that it is a virtual assistant and that the call is recorded. The disclosure cannot be switched off.

Calls, website and demo chats, recordings, transcripts and summaries of trial and customer accounts may be reviewed by authorized staff for quality, support and abuse prevention. Access is limited to those purposes.

Your dashboard displays call records, and alerts arrive by email and app push notification. Alerts include a summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording; a daily digest also arrives by email. These records let your business review what the caller said and decide what action to take about a service request.

Demo Conversations and Website Analytics

We record and transcribe demo calls and chats on this site to show you the result. Treat a demo conversation as recorded service information. You can test an electrical call scenario without supplying a real customer's job details, such as describing a fictional panel upgrade request.

We use privacy-friendly website analytics and Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies. Website analytics concern activity on this site, while demo recordings and transcripts document the conversation you choose to have with the demo. Both are included in the information covered by this policy.

Service Providers and AI Processing

We use service providers for hosting and storage, telephone services, AI models for voice and text, payment processing, email delivery and analytics. These categories support the website, subscription and call answering service. For example, telephone providers support calls, while email delivery providers support call alerts and account communications.

Our AI model provider, OpenAI, does not use our API data to train its models by default. AI processing still forms part of delivering the receptionist's conversations and related call records. We never sell personal information, and we never use callers' data for our own marketing.

Recording, Transcript and Summary Retention

Recordings are kept for the period your business chooses, either 30 or 90 days, and then deleted. This choice concerns the audio recording. A transcript or summary is a separate record and follows the retention schedule described next.

Transcripts and summaries are kept while the account is open. They are deleted within 30 days after the account closes or on request. To ask about deletion, email privacy@electricianansweringpro.com and explain whether the request concerns your account or a call to a customer's business.

Access, Correction, Deletion and Opt-Out Requests

You can ask for access, correction, deletion or opt-out by emailing privacy@electricianansweringpro.com. Tell us what information or interaction your request concerns so we can understand it. Avoid putting unrelated details from an electrical job into the request.

Callers may contact the business they called or contact us directly. Because the business decides what is collected from its callers and why, identify that business when you write about a call. California residents' rights apply where applicable; you can use the same privacy email address to make a request.

Children and Healthcare Information

This service is not for children under 13. It is intended for electrical businesses handling their business calls, rather than services directed to children. Do not use the receptionist for healthcare information involving protected health information; healthcare use is not offered.

These limits are part of the service's scope. The receptionist collects electrical service requests under your business's instructions, and it is not an emergency service. Review the conditions for using the service alongside this policy before forwarding business calls.
