Terms of Service
These terms explain your subscription, our call answering service and your responsibilities for business instructions and caller data. Review them before requesting a free trial, and use the browser demo to test a fictional electrical call.

Operator and Scope
TypeScience, trading as Electrician Answering Pro, provides the website and AI receptionist service under these terms. The service is for electrical businesses that want calls answered as their business. These terms cover use of the receptionist, the subscription and the handling of caller information on your behalf.
You can try the browser demo without signing up, then request a free trial online. There is no phone sales process. For questions about your account or service, email support@electricianansweringpro.com. Privacy questions and requests go to privacy@electricianansweringpro.com.
Your Account and Business Instructions
You sign in using an email link and complete an onboarding chat with the AI. We use your answers and the website content you identify to learn your services, service area, hours, price policy and urgent call procedures. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give the AI.
Set clear rules for work you accept, work you do not do and who gets urgent calls. Your business is responsible for its greeting and policies, subject to the required AI and recording notice. You can change settings by telling the AI in plain words and review settings and usage in the dashboard.
Call Forwarding and Available Call Handling
The receptionist answers your business calls day and night once you forward your number to it. You choose whether to forward all calls or only no-answer, busy or after-hours calls. The service includes a local number in your area code, a forwarding guide for your carrier or phone system and a test call before you go live.
The receptionist asks intake questions, flags urgency, takes messages and politely ends spam and robocalls. It can book appointments into Google Calendar or collect details for your callback. It speaks English and Spanish, and callers can change language during a conversation. Website chat is available as an add-on using the same business knowledge and rules.
Trial, Plan and Usage Charges
The plan is $249 per month and includes 500 AI minutes. Additional minutes cost $0.20 per minute, with overage minutes billed monthly. Your subscription is month to month and renews monthly until you cancel online.
The free trial lasts 14 days and is capped at 100 minutes. A payment card is required before call forwarding goes live. The trial converts to a paid subscription only with a card on file, and we send a reminder email two days before conversion. Review usage in your dashboard as you test the service and handle business calls.
Cancellation and Plan Lapses
You can cancel online in one click, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the paid month. Monthly renewal continues until cancellation. Check your account settings when you decide to end the subscription so the cancellation is recorded through the online process.
If your plan lapses, calls go to your backup number or voicemail. Keep that backup route suitable for the calls your electrical business receives. The receptionist does not remove your need for another way to be reached, particularly when an urgent request needs your attention.
AI Disclosure and Recording
The receptionist states at the start of each call that it is a virtual assistant and that the call is recorded. These notices cannot be disabled. Your business instructions and greeting choices must work with this required disclosure.
Calls produce audio, recordings, transcripts, summaries and caller numbers as part of the service. The browser demo also records and transcribes conversations to show the result. Use fictional electrical service details when testing the demo if you do not need to share information about a real caller or job.
Urgent Electrical Calls and Safety
The receptionist follows safety scripts and your urgent call routing rules, but it is not an emergency service or a replacement for 911. For shock, sparks, smoke or burning smells, the script tells the caller to keep away and touch nothing. If smoke or flames are present, it tells the caller to get everyone out first. It tells the caller to turn the main breaker off only if the panel is dry and safe to reach, and call 911. The on-call electrician is then alerted; the AI does not give DIY wiring steps.
For gas smells, carbon monoxide alarms or flooding near electricity, the script tells the caller to get everyone out and call 911 or the utility from outside. For a fire, it says: "Get everyone out first, then call 911 from outside." For a medical emergency or anyone in danger, it tells the caller to hang up and call 911 right now. It then alerts you. Urgent routing can use a warm transfer or a page in your chosen order. On a warm transfer, your on-call person hears a short summary and presses 1 to accept.
AI Limits and Your Review Responsibilities
The AI can make mistakes, so you are responsible for reviewing summaries and keeping a backup way to be reached. A transcript or urgency tag is a record to review when deciding what your business should do next. The receptionist handles intake and routing; your business handles the electrical work and its response to the request.
Keep instructions accurate when your hours, services, service area or on-call arrangements change. The dashboard provides calls, transcripts, recordings, usage and settings for your review. Notifications arrive by email and app push, with a daily digest email, so include review of those records in your call handling process.
Consent-Based Lead Follow-Up
The optional lead follow-up add-on calls people who filled in your web form and ticked a consent box naming your business. You are responsible for the consent records for these follow-up calls. Do not submit lists, purchased leads or people who have not given the required written consent through that form.
The add-on calls within about a minute, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the recipient's time zone. It makes one attempt plus one retry, and opt-outs are honored at once. This feature is follow-up to a person's request to your business; outbound cold calling and list dialing are not offered.
Acceptable Use
Illegal use, cold calling, robocalling, impersonation and harassment are prohibited. Do not use your account or business instructions to direct those activities. Consent-based follow-up through the specified add-on does not authorize other kinds of outbound campaigns.
Healthcare use involving protected health information is not permitted. The service is built for electrical business calls and is not offered for healthcare practices. We may suspend the service for abuse. Your business remains responsible for its policies, the instructions it supplies and its consent records for follow-up.
Data Processing Terms
Your business decides what caller information is collected and why, and we process that information on your behalf to provide the service. These data processing terms are part of this agreement. The information includes caller numbers, call audio, recordings, transcripts and summaries, along with business instructions used to handle those conversations.
Calls, website and demo chats, recordings, transcripts and summaries of trial and customer accounts may be reviewed by authorized staff for quality, support and abuse prevention. Access is limited to those purposes.
Service providers include hosting and storage, telephone carriers, AI model providers for voice and text, payment processing, email delivery and analytics. Our AI model provider, OpenAI, does not use our API data to train its models by default. We do not sell personal information, and caller data is not used to market our service.
Recordings are retained for your selected period of 30 or 90 days, then deleted. Transcripts and summaries are kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days after closure or on request. Customers and callers can request access, correction, deletion or opt-out through privacy@electricianansweringpro.com; callers can also ask your business. Our privacy policy for account and call information describes the data categories and request options.
Service Basis and Liability Limit
The service is provided as is, and our liability is capped at the fees paid in the prior 12 months. Assess the receptionist through the demo and trial, and review its output as part of your business operations. The availability of call records and routing settings does not remove the AI's ability to make mistakes.
Keep a backup contact route and review urgent requests yourself. Your business instructions should distinguish an immediate safety concern from a quote request or routine appointment. The receptionist's safety script and on-call routing support that process without making it an emergency response service.
Governing Law, Changes and Help
These terms are governed by the law of California. We notify you of changes to the terms by email. The date at the top identifies when this version was last updated, so you can identify the terms you are reviewing.
